Mihrap ve Minber / Mihrab and Pulpit

 

Mihrap, camilerde kıbleyi gösteren ve imamın namaz kıldırdığı girintili bölümdür. Minber ise Cuma ve bayram namazlarında hutbe okunan merdivenli kürsüdür. Her ikisi de İslam'ın ilk dönemlerinden beri var olan önemli dini sembollerdir.

The mihrab is the recessed section in mosques that indicates the qibla and where the imam leads prayers. The pulpit is the stepped podium where the sermon is given during Friday and Eid prayers. Both are important religious symbols that have existed since the early days of Islam.
